  • November 2015: Anekdoten & Änglagård play in Tokyo.
  • July 2015: Marty Willson-Piper’s Anekdoten christening, headlining the Thursday at the Burg Herzberg festival in Germany.
  • April 2015: The 6th studio album “Until All The Ghosts Are Gone” is released.
  • December 2014: “Nucleus” re-released on vinyl by the band in 500 numbered copiess.
  • May 2013: Recording of the 6th studio album begins at Studio Atlantis.
  • January 2013: The band plays at European Rock Fes at Club Citta, Kawasaki, Japan.
  • December 2012: A remastered version of “A Time Of Day” is released.
  • May 2012: The band plays on the main stage at the Roadburn Festival, invited by that years curators Voivod.
  • March 2012: El Ultimo Fin De Semana released on DVD. (Nicklas providing the soundtrack)
  • October 2011: My Brother The Wind (with Nicklas) release their 2nd album “I Wash My Soul In The Stream Of Infinity”
  • April 2011: Vemod re-released on vinyl on the Virta-label in 500 copies (100 on blue vinyl). Remastered with gatefold cover, including bonus 12″(Sad Rain) and a poster. Limited numbered edition
  • May 2009: Release of the 2-CD “Chapters” by the Kscope-label. The first disc contains the band’s favourite tracks from their 3 latest albums and the newly recorded track “When I Turn”. The second disc focuses on the band’s earlier years, including the very first Anekdoten track “Sad Rain”, which previously only was available as bonus track on the Japanese version of “Vemod”, and demo versions of songs from “Nucleus” and “A Time of Day”.
  • May 2007: Release of “A Time Of Day” on LP.
    “A Time Of Day” is released on CD in Japan. The first 1 000 CD’s comes in a LP style sleeve and contains a bonus CD with 2 live songs from Tokyo, February 2005, Book Of Hours and Firefly.
  • April 2007: Release of the 5th Anekdoten studio album “A Time Of Day” on CD.
  • November 2006: Anekdoten starts the recording of their fifth studio album at Rommarö Studios. Overdubs recorded at Sisu Sound.
  • December 2005: 2-LP version of “Waking The Dead” released by the band (Virta).
  • September 2005: Release of the live album “Waking The Dead, Live in Japan 2005” on CD by the Japanese label Arcángelo. The album was recorded at the gigs in Tokyo in February.
  • July 2005: Appearance at the Burg Herzberg Festival, Germany, in the slot before Love.
  • February 2005: Anekdoten play two shows in Tokyo, Japan.
  • July 2004: Appearance at the Burg Herzberg Festival, Germany, in the slot between Caravan and Hawkwind.
  • May 2004: Norwegian tour.
  • April 2004: European tour with Ritual.
  • March 2004: First appearance in Mexico, at the Baja Prog Festival.
  • February 2004: Re-release of Anekdoten’s 2nd album “Nucleus”, remastered with bonus track and revised and enhanced packaging.
  • October 2003: First tour in Poland.
  • June 2003: Release of Anekdoten’s 4th studio album “Gravity” on compact disc and vinyl on the band’s own label, Virta.
    Gigs in France, Belgium and Germany.
  • January – May 2003: Recording and mixing of Anekdoten’s fourth studio album at Studio Atlantis, Toytown and Sisu Sound by Anekdoten and engineers Janne Hansson and Simon Nordberg.
  • February 2003: Warner Music in Poland releases a CD-compilation which includes Kiss of Life from “From Within”.
  • June 2000: Appearance at the NEARfest in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
  • March 2000: “From Within” released on LP.
  • December 1999: First South American tour with gigs in Argentina and Brazil.
  • October 1999: Release of “From Within” on CD. Immediately after the completion of the album Anekdoten play gigs in Italy, Germany, France and Belgium.
  • August – September 1999: Recording of the third studio album “From Within” at Studio Atlantis and the rehearsal studio.
  • July 1999: “Vemod” is released on CD in Brazil by the Rock Symphony-label.
  • April 1999: Morte Macabre “Symphonic Holocaust” is released on 2-LP.
  • October 1998: Nicklas Berg and Peter Nordins teams up with Stefan Dimle and Reine Fiske from Landberk and releases an album mainly consisting of soundtrack themes from horror-movies. They called themselves Morte Macabre and the title of the CD is “Symphonic Holocaust”.
  • July 1998: Mini tour in Canada and the USA.
  • February 1998: The Japanese label Arcangelo release the 2-CD “Official Bootleg – Live in Japan” , which includes 5 previously unreleased tracks.
  • October 1997: Anekdoten play three shows in Japan. The two shows in Tokyo were professionally recorded and the tapes were mixed while Anna Sofi, Peter and Jan Erik were still in Japan.
  • September 1997: Release of the Japanese only 4 track mini-CD “Live EP”, which includes live versions of Nucleus, The Flow and Karelia and the previous unreleased A Way Of Life. The CD was recorded in May 1996 in Sweden.
  • May 1997: Release of “Nucleus” on picture-disc LP.
  • December 1996: Release of the “3rd Cyclops Sampler” CD, on which a live version of Book Of Hours was included.
  • October 1996: Release of “Nucleus” on LP and MC.
  • August 1996: Release of “Vemod” on picture-disc LP.
  • Apr – Nov 1996: Touring in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Italy and Belgium.
  • December 1995: Release of “Nucleus” on CD.
  • November 1995: Release of a live double-CD and 2 videos from Progfest ’94. Anekdoten’s contributions to the CD were Muscle Beach Benediction (an improvisation), Wheel and a rendition of Holst’s Mars. The video also included a version of The Flow.
  • July – November 1995: Recording of the second album “Nucleus” at Studio Largen and in the rehearsal studio.
  • August 1995: Release of Japanese edition of “Vemod” including the bonus track Sad Rain.
  • March 1995: Release of the compilation CD “This Is An Orange”, which included songs by Scandinavian prog-acts. Anekdoten’s contribution was a live-version of the King Crimson song Cirkus.
  • February 1995: Release of “Vemod” on MC in Poland.
  • Jan – Dec 1994: Touring in Sweden, Norway, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, USA and Canada.
  • January 1994: Release of “Vemod” on LP.
  • September 1993: Release of Anekdoten’s debut album “Vemod” on CD.
  • March – April 1993: Recording and mixing of “Vemod” at Roger Skogh’s Studio Largen.

  • August 1991: Anna Sofi Dahlberg joined and the band’s name was changed to Anekdoten.
  • May 1990: Nicklas Berg, Jan Erik Liljeström and Peter Nordins started to rehearse King Crimson-songs under the moniker King Edward.
